The Town of Claremont is committed to developing and fostering art and culture within the local community. Providing the opportunity to express and celebrate our creativity, identity and history is an integral part of the Town’s cultural identity.
The Town of Claremont recognises the significance that arts and cultural development plays towards community enrichment. Making visual art broadly accessible to the community helps to develop civic pride, creates opportunity for community engagement and contributes to a sense of place.

There are a range of free arts and cultural activities available at a grassroots level that are open to our community. Information on these can be found on our Claremont Community Library & Hub pages.
The Town works with local artists and businesses to create engaging activations each year.
Most recently the Neon Night Trail event took place which saw the Claremont Town Centre transform into an immersive and enchanted neon wonderland.
The Town enjoys a partnership with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra (WASO) which allows the magic of symphony music to be enjoyed by residents and the community alike. WASO feature at our Carols in the Park event and also A Night on Bay View each year.
Through our Community Funding program we also have a partnership with the Claremont Concert Band.
The Town runs a biennial Art Award & Exhibition to support and celebrate West Australian emerging and established artists across a variety of art forms, including oil, watercolour, ink, sculpture, and mixed media.
